Five Rhode Island College Players
Named All-Little East in Women’s Soccer

Providence, RI—Five
members of the Rhode Island College women’s soccer team were named
All-Little East Conference. |
|
|
|
Senior forward Erika Haaland (North Dartmouth, MA) was named
First Team All-Little East Conference. Haaland has played in 20 games,
starting 19 of them. She has 10 goals and four assists for 24 points.
The co-captain leads the team in goals and is tied for first in
points. She also leads the squad with four game-winning goals. Haaland
is fourth in the Little East in goals and tied for fifth in points.
She is a social work major and a 2003 graduate of Dartmouth High
School. |

Senior midfielder Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth, RI) was named
First Team All-Little East Conference. Gavin has played in 21 games,
starting 20 of them. She has four goals and eight assists for 16
points. The co-captain leads the team in shots (63), is tied for tops
on the squad in assists and is fourth in points. She is a physical
education/health major and a 2003 graduate of Portsmouth High School.

Junior forward Gina Calenda (Warren, RI) was named Second Team
All-Little East Conference. She has played in 21 games, starting 15 of
them. She has nine goals and six assists for 24 points. Calenda is
tied for the team lead in points, is second in goals and tied for
third in assists. Calenda is tied for fifth in the Little East in both
goals and points. She is a nursing major and a 2004 graduate of Mt.
Hope High School. |

Junior forward Brittney Godbout (Cranston, RI) was named Second
Team All-Little East Conference. She has played in 20 games, starting
12 of them. She has eight goals and six assists for 22 points. She is
third on the team in both goals and points and is tied for third on
the team in assists. Godbout is tied for seventh in the Little East in
goals and points. She is an elementary education major with a
concentration in special education and a 2004 graduate of Cranston
High School East. |

Junior back Mallary Bileau (Woonsocket, RI) was named Second
Team All-Little East Conference. She has played in 21 games, starting
20 of them. She has helped anchor a defense that has allowed just 1.24
goals per game and logged five shutouts. She is a psychology major and
a 2004 graduate of Woonsocket High School. |

Head Coach Denis Chartier’s team is the fifth seed in the
upcoming 2006 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England
Div. III Women’s Soccer Tournament and will face fourth-seeded
Brandeis on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. The Anchorwomen are 14-7
overall and were 3-4 in the Little East during the regular season. RIC
has established new program records for wins and consecutive wins
(nine) this season. |
