Three Rhode Island College Players
Named
All-Little East in Women’s Volleyball

Providence, RI—Three
members of the Rhode Island College women’s volleyball team were named
All-Little East Conference. |
|
|
|
Senior middle hitter Erin Miga (Cranston, RI) was named First
Team All-Little East Conference for the third consecutive season. She
played in 115 games in 31 matches with 357 kills, a .337 hitting
percentage, 23 service aces, 57 digs and 138 blocks. Miga led the team
in kills, hitting percentage and blocks. The co-captain led the Little
East in hitting percentage and blocks and was sixth in kills. She is
an elementary education major with a concentration in special
education and a 2003 graduate of Cranston High School East. Miga is
RIC’s all-time leader in career kills, hitting percentage and blocks. |

Senior libero Stephanie Wojciechowski (North Kingstown, RI) was
named Second Team All-Little East Conference for the second
consecutive season. She played in 125 games in 33 matches. She led the
team with 466 digs and was second with 50 service aces. Wojciechowski
is RIC’s all-time leader in career digs. She is a secondary education
major with a concentration in math and a 2000 graduate of North
Kingstown High School. |

Junior outside hitter Madison Greene (Cranston, RI) was named
Second Team All-Little East Conference. She played in 112 games in 33
matches with 235 kills, a .165 hitting percentage, 51 digs and 40
blocks. Greene was third on the team in kills and fourth in blocks.
She is an elementary education major with a concentration in English. |

Head
Coach Craig Letourneau’s team finished the season with a 20-13
overall record and a 5-2 (second place) mark in the Little East
Conference. After defeating third-seeded Plymouth State (3-1) in the
semifinals of the 2006 Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball
Tournament, the Anchorwomen advanced to the tourney’s championship
match for the first time in school history. Rhode Island College fell
to top-seeded Eastern Connecticut (3-0) on Nov. 4. |
