Dedham, MA—Head
Coach Kevin Jackson’s men’s outdoor track and field team opened
the 2007 campaign at the Husky Spring Open, hosted by Northeastern
University on Saturday, Mar. 24. |
|
|
|
Senior Eric Lonergan (North Kingstown, RI) took home first
place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:29. 48. |
|
|
|
Junior Mike Van Gieson (Foster, RI) placed second in the 800
meters with a time of 1:59.39. |
|
|
|
The
4x100 meter relay team of freshman Kyle Duguay (Cumberland, RI),
freshman Kwame Gyampo (Providence, RI), freshman Austyn
Pedersen (Portsmouth, RI) and senior John Martinelli (North
Providence, RI) placed second with a time of 44.76. |
|
|
|
Senior Dan Newman (Smithfield, RI) placed ninth in the 110
meter hurdles with a time of 16.63 and placed fourth in the high jump
with a leap of 1.83 meters. |
|
|
|
Freshman Max Willett (Portsmouth, RI) placed fourth in the long
jump with a leap of 6.39 meters and 13th in the javelin
with a distance of 46.68 meters. |
|
|
|
In
upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host its annual
invitational on Saturday, Mar. 31. |
