ANCHORMEN GO 1-1 AT SEASON-ENDING MEET
Rebocho, Tassoni & Kern Tie For Third Overall

Island College
finished the 2007 spring season with a tri-meet vs. Johnson &
Wales and Newbury at Triggs Memorial Golf Course on Friday
afternoon. RIC went 1-1, defeating Newbury, 318-458, while
falling to the Wildcats, 318-314, by four strokes. |

Senior
Shawn Rebocho (Albion, RI), sophomore R.J. Tassoni
(Greenville, RI) and freshman Barrett Kern (Pawtucket,
RI) all tied for third, shooting a score of 79. It was
Senior Day as Rebocho and classmate Sean DeSilva (West
Warwick, RI) played in their final collegiate match. |

Johnson &
Wales senior Kyle Morrell (New Fairfield, CT) was the
medalist with a 76 on the day. Sophomore Dustin Bride
(Manchester, CT) was one stroke behind Morrell with a 77. |
|
RIC wraps
up the season with a 14-3 combined record between the fall (6-2)
and spring (8-1), RIC’s finest season in the program’s
eight-year history. |
