Three From Rhode Island College
Earn
All-New England Honors
in Women’s Outdoor Track & Field
|

Providence, RI—
The Rhode Island College women’s outdoor track and field team
competed at the New England Div. III Championships, hosted by
Springfield College on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5. The Anchorwomen
placed 17th (28 Teams) with 11.5 Points. |

Sophomore
Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) earned All-New England honors in
the high jump, placing fourth at 1.56 meters. She also placed 15th
in the long jump at 4.79 meters. |

|
Sophomore
Ashley Nyzio (Pawtucket, RI) earned All-New England honors in
the javelin, placing fourth with a 36.74-meter effort. |
|
|
|
Sophomore Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI)
earned All-New England honors in the hammer, placing seventh at
43.59 meters. |

|
Freshman
Stephanie Bucci (Smithfield, RI) placed ninth in the hammer and
14th in the discus with distances of 41.27 and 28.71
meters, respectively. |

Freshman
Brooke Iby (Dracut, MA) placed 14th in the triple
jump at 9.98 meters. |
|
|
|
In upcoming
action, Rhode Island College will compete at the New England Open
Championships, hosted by Dartmouth on Friday and Saturday, May
11-12. |
