Nyzio and Kayla Fleming Lead
Women’s Outdoor Track at NEICAA Championships

RI—Head
Coach Kevin Jackson’s Rhode Island College women’s outdoor
track and field team took part in the NEICAA Championships, hosted
by Dartmouth on Saturday, May 12. The Anchorwomen placed 17th
(34 teams) with a team score of 16.0. Williams won the meet with a
score of 108.0. |

Sophomore
Ashley Nyzio (Pawtucket, RI) placed second in the javelin with a
distance of 38.80 meters. |

Sophomore
Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) placed second in the high jump and
20th in the long jump with leaps of 1.67 and 4.84 meters,
respectively. |

|
Sophomore
Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI) placed 17th in
the hammer with a distance of 43.34 meters. |

|
In upcoming
action, Rhode Island College will compete at the NCAA Div. III
Championships Qualifying Meet, hosted by M.I.T. on Friday, May 18. |
