Anchormen Jump Out to 31-Point Halftime Lead & Never Look Back |

Framingham, MA—Rhode Island College won its ninth consecutive
game in an 85-60 win over Framingham State in non-conference action on
Thursday evening. The Anchormen improve to 12-1 overall, while the
loss drops the Rams to 6-7. |

RIC
shot a blistering 56.3 percent (18-for-32) from the field and 52.4
percent (11-for-21) from behind the three-point arc in the first half,
as the Anchormen headed into the intermission with a commanding 48-17
advantage. RIC finished the contest shooting 47.7 percent (31-for-65),
while limiting the Rams to just 32.8 percent (21-for-64). |

The
backcourt combination of senior guard Kinsey Durgin (Greenwood, ME)
and sophomore guard Bobby Bailey (Fall River, MA) each scored a
team-high 11 points, while senior center Anthony Pierlioni
(Plainville, CT) hauled in six rebounds as the Anchormen continued
to excel on the road, raising their mark to 7-0 on the season. |

Durgin was 4-for-9 from the field, and 3-for-6 from downtown, to go
along with a workman-like four rebound, two-assist, two steal effort.
Bailey also had two assists and two steals. Sophomore forward
Kaseem Johnson (New Haven, CT) had nine points, five boards, two
assists and a steal in 13 minutes. Junior guard Amde Tegbaru
(Stockholm, Sweden) scored a season-high 10 points, including two
treys, with four boards. |

Framingham State was led by Derek Wigman and Bill Carey
who each scored 12 points. |
