Women’s Gymnastics Falls at Southern Connecticut Quad
Big Three Pace Anchorwomen |

|
|
New Haven, CT—The
Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team posted their best score
of the season, 170.925, but it wasn’t enough as the Anchorwomen fell
to SUNY Brockport, 184.100, M.I.T., 174.750 and host school Southern
Connecticut, 183.375, on Sunday afternoon. RIC remains winless with
an 0-11 overall record and is 0-6 against ECAC Div. III opposition. |

Sophomore Breanna Moroney (Metuchen, NJ) recorded season-high
marks on vault and floor with scores of 9.225 and 9.350,
respectively. Both marks led the team on those events. She also
posted scores of 8.500 on bars, 7.775 on beam and totaled a
team-high 34.850 all-around score. |

Freshman
Elizabeth Ann Glunt (Altoona, PA) recorded scores of 8.900 on
vault, 7.000 on bars, a team-high 9.225 on beam, 8.450 on floor for
an all-around score of 33.550. |

|
Junior Melissa Demirjian (Warwick, RI) totaled scores of
8.675 on vault, 7.300 on bars, 8.400 on beam, 8.700 on floor for an
all-around score of 33.075. |

|
In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will compete at M.I.T. on
Saturday, February 17. |
