Rhode Island College To Host 2007
Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament |
|
Providence, RI—The
Murray Center at Rhode Island College will be the site for
the 2007 Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament
Semifinal and Championship Games on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday,
Feb. 24. |

|
Sixth-seeded
UMass Boston will play second-seeded Keene State on Friday, Feb. 23
at 6 p.m., followed by fourth-seeded UMass Dartmouth vs. top-seeded
Rhode Island College at 8 p.m. |
|
|
|
The Championship
Game, with an automatic berth into the NCAA Div. III Men’s
Basketball Tournament on the line, will be played on Saturday, Feb.
24 at 3 p.m. |
|
|
|
Admission will
be $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students with ID and seniors, and
$1.00 for children under 12. |
|
|
|
All games of the tournament will be audio/video cast via the

Rhode Island College Head Coach Bob Walsh’s
team is 22-3 overall and finished the regular season with a 12-2
mark in the Little East Conference, capturing the second LEC Regular
Season Championship, and the program’s
first outright title, in school history. The Anchormen advanced to
the semifinals with a 72-69 overtime win over eighth-seeded Southern
Maine on Tuesday evening. |
