KINSEY DURGIN EARNS TWO POSTSEASON
MEN’S BASKETBALL AWARDS |
|

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College senior guard Kinsey Durgin (Greenwood, ME) was named to
the All-Northeast Second Team by the National Association of
Basketball Coaches (NABC) and was awarded the same honors by
D3Hoops.com. |

|
Durgin helped lead the Rhode Island College men’s basketball team to
a 27-4 overall record and a berth in the 2007 NCAA Div. III Men’s
Basketball Tournament, where the Anchormen advanced to the Elite
Eight. The Anchormen established school records for the most wins in
a season, won their first-ever Little East Conference Men’s
Basketball Tournament and were the LEC Regular Season Champions for
the second time in the past three years. Rhode Island College made
its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 28 years.
Durgin was named First Team
All-Little East Conference for the second consecutive season. He was
also named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2007
Little East
Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament, also garnering
All-Tournament Team honors. He played in 31 games, starting all of
them. He averaged 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4
steals per game. |

Durgin leaves Rhode Island College as the program’s all-time leader
in games played (115). He totaled 1,290 points, 472 rebounds, 308
assists and 131 steals in his four-year career. He is 11th
all-time at RIC in career scoring and ninth in assists. |
