WORCESTER STATE TAKES THREE AT RIC QUAD-MEET
 Bruso Earns Medalist Honors With Match-Low 73

Providence, RI—Worcester State improved its record to 3-0 at a quad-meet hosted by Rhode Island College at Triggs Memorial Golf Course on a rainy and windy Friday afternoon. WSC freshman Robert Bruso (Auburn, MA) was the medalist, firing a one over par 73. Bruso’s teammate, senior Zach Camarra (Auburn, MA), and Wesleyan senior David Velardo (Wilmington, MA) each finished five strokes off the lead.

 

Rhode Island College sees its record fall to 3-3 on the season. Freshman Kevin Smith (West Hartford, CT) led the Anchormen with an 80. Mitchell sophomore Rob Luna (Pawcatuck, CT) posted a team-best score of 85 for the Pequots.

 

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Brandeis on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
