DANTE LOPARDO EARNS
ALL-NEW ENGLAND HONORS
|

New London,
Conn.—The
Rhode Island College men’s outdoor track and field team placed 20th
(26 teams) with a score of 6.0 at the New England Div. III
Championships, hosted by Coast Guard May 1-3. |

Junior
Dante Lopardo (Johnston, RI) earned All-New England honors in
the high jump, placing third with a 1.90-meter effort. He also
placed 15th in the long jump at 5.81 meters. |

Hunter Stewart (Foster, RI) placed 22nd in the 600
meters with a time of 51.82. |

|
Senior Mike Van Gieson (Foster, RI) placed 12th
in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.85. |

Freshman Mike Macedo (North Scituate, RI)
placed 30th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33:44.73. |
|
|
|
The 4x100 meter relay team comprised of sophomore
Kwame Gyampo (Providence, RI), senior Charles Kuti
(Providence, RI), sophomore Kyle Duguay (Cumberland, RI)
and freshman Adilson Alves (Central Falls, RI) placed 11th
with a time of 44.21. |
