RIC WOMEN SEE ACTION AT NEICAAA
NEW ENGLAND OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Durham,
N.H.—The
Rhode Island College women’s outdoor track and field team competed
at the 2008 NEICAAA Championships, hosted by the University of New
Hampshire on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10. The Anchorwomen did not
score as a team. Boston College won the meet with a team score of
131. |

Junior
Kayla Fleming (Pawtucket, RI) tied for ninth place in the high
jump with a 1.60-meter effort. |

|
Freshman
Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, RI) posted a time of 1:07.96 in the
400 meter hurdles. |
|
|
|
Sophomore
Brooke Iby (Dracut, MA) posted a 10.24-meter effort in the
triple jump. Junior Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, RI)
recorded a 42.48-meter effort in the hammer. |
|
|
|
In upcoming
action, the Anchorwomen will compete at the 2008 Eastern College
Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Thursday and Friday, May
15-16. |
