Anchorwomen Fall to Bears, 73-60 |

Bridgewater, Mass.—Rhode
Island College saw its record fall to 1-2 in a 73-60 loss at
Bridgewater State on Tuesday evening at the Tinsley Center. The
Bears up their mark to 2-1 on the season in the victory.

(Cranston, RI) led RIC in scoring, pouring in 19 points on
7-of-12 shooting. Fifteen of her team-high 19 points came in the
second half alone. |

|
BSC senior forward Colleen Feeney (Providence, RI) posted her
third double-double of the season with 21 points and 18 rebounds to
lead the Bears to victory. The Bears took a 31-18 advantage into the
locker room and used a 10-0 run early in the second half to balloon
the lead 21 points at 41-20. Rhode Island chipped away very late in
the second half but did not make a serious threat. |

Feeney, who connected on 9-of-15 field goals for the game, almost
had a double-double at the half as she went into the locker room
with 16 points and nine boards. |

Senior guard Justine Farroba (North Attleboro, MA) also
played very well for the Bears as she scored a season-high 16 points
on 6-of-9 shooting including 4-for-7 from three point range. Farroba
also added three rebounds, three steals and two assists. Also
scoring in double figures for the Bears was senior guard Caitlin
Feeney (Providence, RI) who added 17 points to go along with six
rebounds and six assists. Eleven of Feeney's 17 points came from the
free throw line in the second half alone. |

Bridgewater dominated the boards in this one as the Bears
out-rebounded the Anchorwomen by a margin of 53-t0-35 including a
24-8 advantage on the offensive glass. |

|
|
Bridgewater State will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 26 as the
Bears travel to Curry College for a 7 p.m. game with the Colonels.
RIC hosts Wellesley College at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27. |
