Mullen Paces Anchorwomen With Game-High 18 Points |

Providence, RI--Rhode Island College recorded its fourth
straight win to improve to 5-2 on the season in a 65-53 victory over
Connecticut College on Tuesday evening at The Murray Center. The
loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Camels, who fall to
6-2 on the season. |

Rhode Island
College sophomore guard Alice Mullen (Saunderstown, RI)
posted a game-high 18 points and fell one rebound shy of a
double-double with nine boards. Senior forward Sherri Heard
(Coventry, RI) logged 14 points and seven rebounds, while
sophomore forward Jenn Knott (Narragansett, RI) logged 11
points, seven boards, one block and one steal. |

Salve Regina
chipped a RIC lead down to three points, 56-53, on a sophomore
forward Amy Towne (Stamford, CT) jumper with 1:56 remaining
in regulation. Two free throws by senior point guard Sarah
Coughlin (North Attleboro, MA) put RIC on top by five, 58-53.
The Seahawks missed a three to get back in the game on the ensuing
possession, while Mullen and junior guard Michelle McNamee
(Cranston, RI), made four and three free throws, respectively,
down the stretch to close out the game. |

Conn. College
senior forward Katy Serafin (Carmel, NY) led the Camels with
10 points and eight rebounds. Freshman forward Cindy Roseen
(Wolfeboro, NH) posted a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with
nine points. |

In upcoming
action, Rhode Island College will travel to Little East Conference
rival Keene State on Saturday, Dec. 8 for a 1 p.m. game. The Camels
will host St. Joseph’s at 1 p.m. on Dec. 8. |
