ALBERT PLACES FOURTH IN THE
ALL-AROUND AS ANCHORWOMEN FALL AT DIV. I BROWN
|

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College freshman Robyn Albert (Sharon, MA) placed
fourth in the all-around with a career-high mark of 36.275, but the
Anchorwomen suffered two losses at a tri-meet, hosted by Brown on
Sunday afternoon. |

|
|
RIC posted
its second highest score of the season with a 168.775 effort, but it
was not enough to defeat Div. I foes University of Rhode Island
(185.000) and the hosts (186.200). |
|
|
|
Albert posted
the team’s best scores on vault (9.050), bars (8.850) and beam
(9.225). Senior Melissa Demirjian (Warwick, RI) registered
RIC’s top floor mark (9.200) and second all-around score (34.950),
which was fifth overall. Sophomores Elizabeth Ann Glunt (Altoona,
PA) and Megan Connor (Warwick, RI) posted their
season-high marks on floor with scores of 9.050 and 8.850,
respectively. |

Head Coach
Shannon Cornicelli’s team is 1-8 overall and 1-5 against ECAC
Div. III competition. In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will
compete at Springfield College on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. |
