WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS FALLS AT
M.I.T.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Cambridge,
MA—The
Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team dropped a dual meet
with Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III rival
M.I.T., 180.775-169.125, on Saturday afternoon. The Anchorwomen fall
to 1-10 overall and 1-7 in league action. |

Sophomore Elizabeth Ann Glunt (Altoona, PA)
finished third in the all-around with a combined score of 35.350.
She was third overall and led RIC on beam with a score of 9.150,
while ranking second on the club on vault, bars and floor with marks
of 8.825, 8.175 and 9.200, respectively. |

|
Freshman
Robyn Albert (Sharon, MA) posted team-high scores on vault and
bars with marks of 9.100 and 8.200, respectively. Albert was fifth
overall in the all-around with a score 34.400. |
|
|
|
Senior
Melissa Demirjian (Warwick, RI) recorded RIC’s top floor mark at
9.275. She was sixth in the all-around with a score of 34.175. |
|
|
|
In upcoming
action, Rhode Island College will host Wilson on Saturday, Feb. 23
at The Murray Center for a dual meet beginning at 1 p.m. It will be
Senior Day as Demirjian will be honored prior to the start of the
meet. |
