RIC Women’s Gymnastics Drops Two
at Southern Connecticut Tri-Meet
|

|
|
New Haven,
CT—The
Rhode Island College women’s gymnastics team fell to 2-12 overall
and 2-8 against Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III
competition in two losses at a tri-meet hosted by Southern
Connecticut on Sunday afternoon. |

|
|
|
The
Anchorwomen fell to the Div. II hosts, 188.600-170.400, while
falling to ECAC rivals Ithaca, 185.925-170.400. |
|
|
|
|
Freshman
Robyn Albert (Sharon, MA) was RIC’s top performer on bars
(8.550), beam (8.775) and in the all-around (35.275), placing 12th,
12th and fourth overall, respectively.

|
|
Sophomore
Megan Connor (Warwick, RI) led the Anchorwomen on vault (9.100),
placing 12th overall, while senior Melissa Demirjian
(Warwick, RI) was seventh on floor (9.575). Demirjian was fifth
overall in the all-around (35.125) as well. |
