Rhode Island College Names Craig Letourneau
Head Women’s Volleyball Coach |
|
Providence, RI— Rhode
Island College named Craig Letourneau as its Head Women’s
Volleyball Coach. He takes over for Kristen Norberg who retired
at the end of last season after 18 years on the bench. |
|

|
"I am very excited about taking over
the RIC volleyball program and leading them for years to come,"
Letourneau says. "I am interested in taking the next step in
coaching, which for me is at the college level." |
|
|
|
He has been the Head Boys’
and Girls’ Volleyball Coach at Mt. St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket
since 1998. He also serves as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at
Lincoln High School, a position he has held since 1998 as well. |
|
|
|
In 2001, Letourneau was
named the Rhode Island Division II North Girls’ Volleyball Coach of
the Year and Boys’ Volleyball Coach of the Year. This past fall, he
guided the Mt. St. Charles boys’ team to an undefeated season and
the Division II Championship. |
|
|
|
In 2000, he was the Woonsocket
Call’s Girls’ Volleyball Coach of the Year and was the
Rhode Island Division II Girls’ Basketball Coach of the Year. In
1999, Letourneau was the Rhode Island Division II North Girls’
Volleyball Coach of the Year and was the Woonsocket Call’s
Girls’ Volleyball Coach of the Year. |

In addition to his coaching
duties, Letourneau is an overnight supervisor at the Evergreen Center
in Milford, Massachusetts. |
|
|
|
He earned a bachelor’s
degree in psychology from Rhode Island College in 2000. |
|
|
|
Letourneau is single and
resides in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. |
