Basketball
(1-21 Overall, 0-11 in the Little

Providence, RI— Head
Coach Mike Kelly’s Anchormen are 1-21 overall and 0-11 in the
Little East Conference. RIC went 0-2 this week losing to Western
Connecticut 84-61 on Feb. 5 and 84-47 to Southern Maine on Feb. 9. The
Anchormen have lost nine straight and have two games remaining in the
season. |

Payette (Woonsocket, RI) has played in 23 games, starting 18 of
them. He is averaging 8.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0
steals per game. |

Head Coach Jay Jones’
Anchormen are 10-13 overall, 8-7 in the New England College Conference
Wrestling Association (NECCWA) and are 2-3 in the Pilgrim League. RIC
is currently ranked 10th in New England as a team. |

RIC went 1-3 this week. The
Anchormen lost to Coast Guard 32-12 and to Johnson and Wales 26-13 on
Feb. 5. RIC picked up a win against Bridgewater State 24-22 on Feb. 9,
but lost to Trinity later in the day 20-18. |

Junior Mike Riley
(Lowell, MA) is currently ranked number one in New England at 133
pounds. The co-captain is 35-4 with 156 points, 115 takedowns, ten
reversals, 41 escapes, 19 near-falls and four wins by fall on the
year. Riley is currently riding a 25-match winning streak. He has not
lost since the championship match of the Scranton Invitational on Dec.

400 meters, placing sixth with a time of 52.67 at the Alliance
Championships. |

meters, placing second with a time of 1:27.51 at the Alliance
Championships. |

(Exeter-West Greenwich) was named All-Alliance/Little East in both
the long and triple jumps. Galli placed fourth in the long jump with a
leap of 15’10.75" and fourth in the triple jump with a leap of
33’03.75" at the Alliance Championships. |

Gardiner (Warwick, RI) was named All-Alliance/Little East in the
triple jump, placing fifth with a leap of 31’06.00" at the

both the 200 and 400 meters. McCalligett placed second in the 400
