the Little East Conference |

Head Coach Jay Grenier’s
Anchormen are 2-12 overall and 0-2 in the Little East Conference. RIC
went 0-3 on the week falling to Worcester State 9-6 on Mar. 28. The
Anchormen saw their first Little East action of the season on Saturday
Mar. 30 against Southern Maine, dropping both games to the Huskies
(0-20, 2-7). |

Senior right fielder Russ
Barron (Cranston, RI) has played in 14 games, starting all of
them. He is batting .320 with seven runs, 16 hits, six doubles, seven
RBI and one stolen base. |

Senior catcher/designated
hitter Sean McNamara (Warwick, RI) has played in 11 games,
starting all of them. He is batting .250 with six runs, 11 hits, four
doubles and three RBI. |

hitter Dave Quaglia (Attleboro, MA) has played in 14 games,

Anchorwomen are 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Little East Conference. |
|
RIC won its first two games
of the week sweeping Salve Regina on Monday, Mar. 25, taking both
games of the doubleheader 5-0 and 3-1. |
|
The Anchorwomen saw their
first Little East action of the season on Saturday, Mar. 30 against
Keene State. RIC shut out Keene State in the first game of the
doubleheader 8-0, but the Owls came back to take the second game,
shutting the Anchorwomen out 5-0. |
|
Freshman catcher Rachael
Caldwell (Shannock, RI) was named the Little East Conference's
Rookie of the Week. She has played in 11 games, starting ten of
them. She is batting .400 with five runs, 14 hits, two doubles and
eight RBI. |

Senior outfielder Keri
Leighton (Providence, RI) has played in 11 games, starting nine of
them. She is batting .333 with one run and one hit. |

(Warwick, RI) shot a score of 91 on the day. He shot a score of 51
on the front nine and 40 on the back nine. |

Junior Joe Padykula
(Seekonk, MA) shot a score of 99 on the day. He shot a score of 49
on the front nine and 50 on the back nine. |

Sophomore Ken Ferrara
(North Providence, RI) shot a score of 79, making him the
medallist on the day. He shot a score of 40 on the front nine and 39
on the back nine. It is the second career match that Ferrara has
posted the top score among all golfers. |
