North Smithfield’s Glenn
Dusablon Earns
Little East Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week Honors for Third
Time This Spring |

Providence, RI— Rhode
Island College freshman Glenn Dusablon (North Smithfield, RI) was
named the Little East Conference’s Rookie of the Week for the third
time this season. |
|
|
|
Dusablon, a
pitcher/outfielder went 4-7 with a home run, scored four runs and
stole a base to lift Rhode Island College to a doubleheader sweep of
UMass-Boston, which stands as the Anchormen’s first LEC wins this
year. For the week, he posted a solid .455 batting average,
registering five hits in 11 at bats. |

For the season, has
appeared in eight games, starting six of them. He is 3-2 with a 4.75
ERA and 30 strikeouts in 41.2 innings pitched. As a hitter, he has
played in 17 games, starting ten of them. He is batting .302 with
eight runs, 13 hits, one double, one home run, two RBI and one stolen
base. |

Head Coach Jay Grenier’s
Anchormen are 9-23 overall and 2-10 in the Little East Conference. RIC
went 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the LEC last week. The Anchormen fell
short against perennial powerhouse Wheaton 6-4 on Apr. 24, but picked
up their first conference wins with a sweep over UMass-Boston on Apr.
27. The Anchormen took game one 11-1 and won the second 10-8. |
