North Smithfield’s Glenn
Dusablon Earns
Little East Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week Honors for Fourth
Time This Spring |

Providence, RI— Rhode
Island College freshman Glenn Dusablon (North Smithfield, RI) was
named the Little East Conference’s Rookie of the Week for the fourth
time this season. Dusablon has earned this honor in four of the past
five weeks. |
|
|
|
Dusablon, a
pitcher/outfielder, threw a complete game, fanning six, in RIC’s
15-2 win over Coast Guard on May 1. He patrolled the outfield in the
club’s final two games of the week, collecting three hits, including
a double, in seven at-bats for a .429 average. |
|
|
|
For the season, has
appeared in nine games, starting seven of them. He is 4-2 with a 4.26
ERA and 36 strikeouts in 50.2 innings pitched. As a hitter, he has
played in 19 games, starting 12 of them. He is batting .320 with eight
runs, 16 hits, two doubles, one home run, two RBI and one stolen base. |

North Smithfield High School. |

Head Coach Jay Grenier’s
Anchormen closed out the season with a 1-2 week. RIC defeated Coast
Guard 15-2 on May 1 and were swept by Western Connecticut (2-0, 5-4)
on May 4. RIC ends the 2002 season with a 10-25 overall record and a
2-12 mark in the Little East Conference. |
