Rhode Island College  Men’s Cross Country Update #1

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team opened the 2002 campaign at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, on Sept. 21, placing 13th out of 38 teams.

Freshman Emmanuel Karngar (Providence, RI) finished 24th with a time of 26:29.02.

Junior Misha Knuettel (Warwick, RI) finished 54th with a time 27:11.66.

Junior Mike Basilico (Johnston, RI) finished 83rd with a time of 28:03.52.

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) finished 96th with a time of 28:22.06.

Senior Mike Daniels (Warwick, RI) finished 121st with a time of 29:05.18.

Sophomore Matt Faria (Seekonk, MA) finished 184th with a time of 31:48.32.

Sophomore Josh Precourt (Woonsocket, RI) finished 201st with a time of 32:59.66.

Freshman Derek Freitas (North Kingstown, RI) finished 206th with a time of 33:49.28.

In upcoming action, RIC will host the Ray Dwyer Invitational on Saturday, September 28th.
