Rhode Island College Women’s Cross Country Update #1

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team opened the 2002 campaign at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational, placing 31st out of 37 teams on Sept. 21.

Junior Rebecca Horton (Seekonk, MA) placed 179th with a time of 22:12.37.

Freshman Bridget Hjerpe (Cranston, RI) placed 188th with a time of 22:47.18.

Junior Michele Dunphy (Cranston, RI) placed 189th with a time of 22:48.03.

Sophomore Amanda Amend (West Warwick, RI) placed 196th with a time of 23:08.93.

Sophomore Emily Ferland (Barrington, RI) placed 253rd with a time of 26:03.71.

In upcoming action, RIC will host the Ray Dwyer Invitational on Saturday, September 28th.
