Track & Field Update #6 |

Providence, RI-- Head
Coach Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Division III New
England Championships, hosted by Bates, on Saturday, May 3. RIC
finished 14th (22 teams) with a score of 15. MIT won the
meet with 101 points. |

Senior Chris Puleo
(Barrington, RI) earned All-New England honors in the 400
meters, placing second with a time of 49.44. Puleo also
placed 13th as part of the 4 x 100 meters relay with a
time of 45.64 and 11th as part of the 4 x 400 meter relay
with a time of 3:32.13. |

Sophomore Marc Piette
(Woonsocket, RI) earned All-New England honors in the hammer,
placing fifth with a distance of 165’07.00". |

Freshman Nick Palazzo
(Providence, RI) earned All-New England honors in the hammer,
placing sixth with a distance of 164’10.00". |

Senior Tim Rudd
(Warwick, RI) placed 15th in the 800 meters with a
time of 1:58.83. Rudd also placed 13th as part of the 4 x
100 meters relay with a time of 45.64 and 11th as part of
the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:32.13. |

Sophomore Joe
Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) placed 11th in the 1,500
meter run with 4:02.67. Parenteau also placed 11th as
part of the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:32.13. |
