Rhode Island College Men’s Cross Country Update #3

Providence, RI--Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team finished third at the Tri-State Invitational, hosted by the Community College of Rhode Island, with a score of 73 on Oct. 5. WPI won the meet with a score of 32.

Junior Misha Knuettel (Warwick, RI) finished first with a time 27:42.

Sophomore Joe Parenteau (Smithfield, RI) finished fifth with a time of 29:03.

Junior Mike Basilico (Johnston, RI) finished 13th with a time of 30:09.

Senior Mike Daniels (Warwick, RI) finished 25th with a time of 31:14.

Sophomore Matt Faria (Seekonk, MA) finished 31st with a time of 32:07.

Freshman Derek Freitas (North Kingstown, RI) finished 59th with a time 34:16.

Sophomore Josh Precourt (Woonsocket, RI) finished 65th with a time of 35:38.

Senior Brian Carney (Barrington, RI) finished 78th with a time of 46:05.

In upcoming action, RIC will compete at the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State College, on Oct. 12.
