Barrette and Mooney to Captain
Rhode Island College Women’s Tennis

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College senior Carminda Rocha (East Providence, RI) and junior Meghan Mooney (North Scituate, RI) will captain the women’s tennis team for the 2003 season.

Mooney was 6-5 (.545) at number three singles and 7-6 (.538) at number two doubles for a total of 9.5 points as a sophomore in 2002.

She is a communications major and a 2001 graduate of Scituate High School.

Barrette was the Little East Conference Champion at number one doubles as a rookie in 2002. She was 10-5 (.667) at number one singles and 13-3 (.813) at number one doubles for a total of 16.5 points on the season.

She is physical education/health major and a 2001 graduate of La Salle Academy.

Head Coach Kelly Lange’s team opens the 2003 season at home against Bryant on Sept. 7.
