RIC DOMINATES EMERSON, 16-4

Providence, RI--Rhode Island College evened its record at 7-7
with a, 16-4, victory over Emerson College in collegiate women's
lacrosse action. Emerson remains winless, falling to 0-4 on the
season. |

Sophomore
Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston, RI) scored the first of her
game-high five goals just 13 seconds into the game as the Anchorwomen
built a 6-3 half-time lead. RIC exploded for ten second-half goals to
put the contest out of reach. Freshman Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth,
RI) posted a game-high six points with four goals and two assists.
11 different RIC players registered at least a point in the win.
Freshman goalie Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) made six saves
to earn the victory. |

junior Mary Kaeppel (Greenfield, MA) scored twice and senior
goalie Jen Milligan (West Islip, NY) made 13 saves in a losing
effort. |
