Providence, RI--The
Rhode Island College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics,
Intramurals and Recreation held its annual Spring Banquet at RIC’s
Donovan Dining Center on Monday, May 3 to honor those student-athletes
who participate in varsity spring athletics. Freshman
center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth,
RI)
was named the women's lacrosse team's MVP. |

Gavin
played 15 games, starting all of them. She had 43 goals and ten
assists for 53 points and was named First Team All-Little East. Gavin
also compiled a team-high 98 shots, 76 on goal, 82 ground balls and 74
draw controls. Gavin was named the Little East Conference's Rookie of
the Week three times during the season. |
