McCalligett and Skorupa to Captain
Rhode Island College
Women’s Indoor Track & Field |
|
|
Providence, RI—Rhode Island
College junior Kate McCalligett (Warwick, RI)
and sophomore Dana Skorupa (Cumberland, RI)
will captain the women’s indoor track and field team for the 2003-04
season.

|
|
|
As a sophomore
in 2002-03, McCalligett placed 21th in the 400 meters at
the ECAC Championships. She earned All-New England honors in the 400
meters, placing eighth at the New England Championships. McCalligett
earned All-Alliance/Little East honors in both the 400 and 200 meters. |
|
|
|
She is a
nursing major and a 2001 graduate of Pilgrim High School. |
|
|
|
As a freshman
in 2002-03, Skorupa earned All-New England honors in the 55 meters,
placing seventh at last season’s New England Championships. She earned
All-Alliance/Little East honors in the 55 meters, placing second.
Skorupa placed eighth in the 300 meters at the Brown Invitational with
a time of 45.44, establishing a new RIC record for that event. |
