COLEMAN’S
35 POINTS LEADS WARRIORS PAST RIC

Providence, RI—Eastern Connecticut State University senior guard
Allison Coleman (Jewett City, CT) scored a game-high 35 points
to lead the Warriors past Rhode Island College, 60-42, in collegiate
women’s basketball action. Eastern Connecticut, the eighth-ranked team
in the country (Div. III), improves to 6-1 overall and 1-1 in the
Little East Conference. |

Coleman was the story offensively and defensively for ECSU. She shot
13-24 from the field and was a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line.
She added 14 rebounds four assists, two blocks and a steal in the win.

|
|
The
loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Anchorwomen, who fall to
5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Little East. RIC played the Warriors tough,
leading for most of the first half until ECSU came back to take the
lead just prior to the break. |

|
Senior guard Abby Ferri (Coventry, RI) led RIC with ten points
and freshman forward Kari Geisler (Derry, NH) grabbed a
team-high nine rebounds. |

RIC
is off for finals and Christmas. The Anchorwomen will play at the
Colby College Invitational on Jan. 2-3. The Warriors will host SUNY-New
Paltz on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. |
