Two
Rhode Island College Women's Tracksters Set to Compete at New England
Championships

|
Providence, RI--Two
members of the Rhode Island College women's indoor track and field
team have qualified to compete at the Div. III New England
Championships, which will be hosted by MIT on Saturday, Feb. 21. |

|
Sophomore
Dana Skorupa (Cumberland,
RI)
will
compete in both the 55 and 200 meters. Skorupa earned
All-Alliance/Little East honors in three events this past weekend. She
placed third in the 55 meters, first in the 200 meters and first in
the 400 meters with times of 7.53, 26.58 and 1:00.70, respectively. |

Junior
Kate McCalligett (Warwick,
RI)
will
compete in the 400 meters. She placed third in both the 55 and 200
meters as well as second in the 400 meters with times of 7.70, 26.92
and 59.80, respectively at the Southern Maine Invitational on Jan. 31. |

|
Head Coach
Kevin Jackson’s team competed at the Little East Conference/MASCAC
Alliance Championships, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, Feb. 14.
RIC was tied for eighth overall (ten teams) with 26.0 points and was
fifth in the Little East (five teams) with 26.0 points. |
