Women’s Lacrosse Update #2

(2-0 Overall; 0-0 in the Little East) |

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Ryan Angel’s team is 2-0 overall and has yet to face a
Little East Conference opponent. The Anchorwomen’s 2-0 record is the
best start to a season in program history. RIC went on the road a
defeated Roger Williams, 13-12, in overtime, in its only action last
week. |

Sophomore center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth,
RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has a team-high 17
points and a team-best 14 goals to go along with three assists. Gavin
has also compiled a team-high 18 shots, all on goal, eight draw
controls and ground balls. She has been named the Little East
Conference Player of the Week once this season. |

Senior attack Danielle Beaudry (West
Greenwich, RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has 11 points on
four goals and a team-high seven assists. Beaudry has compiled three
shots, all on goal, seven ground balls and five draw controls. |

Freshman attack Melissa Reggio (Commack,
NY)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has six points on
three goals and three assists. Reggio has compiled nine shots, all on
goal, four ground balls and six draw controls. |

Junior attack Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston,
RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has seven points
on seven goals. Colagiovanni has compiled 13 shots, 12 on goal, six
ground balls and two draw controls. |

Freshman attack Krista MacKinnon (Exeter,
RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has three points
on three goals. MacKinnon has compiled three shots, all on goal, and
one ground ball. |

Freshman attack Kerry McDevitt (Jamestown,
RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. She has three points
on one goal and two assists. McDevitt has compiled two shots, both on
goal, and three ground balls. |

Freshman defender Leah Hayes (Coventry,
RI)
has played in two games, starting both of them. Hayes has compiled two
shots, one on goal, and a team-high 13 ground balls to go along with
one draw control. |

has played in two games, starting one of them. Kielbasinski has
compiled five ground balls. |

Sophomore goalkeeper Micaela Morris (Barrington,

has played and started in two games. She has a record of 2-0 and has
compiled 21 saves, a save percentage of .583 and a goals against
average of 7.14. |

Sophomore defender Megahn McKervey (Mansfield,
MA)
has played in two games, starting both of them. McKervey has compiled
one ground ball and one draw control. |

Freshman attack Kerry Donahue (Rehoboth,
MA)
has played in two games. Donahue has compiled two shots on goal. |

In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will play three games this week.
RIC will play its first home game on Monday, Apr. 4 at 4 p.m. against
Salve Regina. The Anchorwomen will open up LEC play on Wednesday, Apr.
6 at home against UMass Dartmouth at 4 p.m., then will head on the
road to take on LEC foe Keene State on Saturday Apr. 9 for a 1 p.m.
