Women’s Lacrosse Update #3

(4-2 Overall; 0-2 in the Little East) |

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Ryan Angel’s team is 4-2 overall and 0-2 in the Little
East Conference. RIC defeated Salve Regina on Monday, Apr. 6, 7-6,
before being handed its first loss of the season at the hands of LEC
foe UMass Dartmouth, 14-8, on Wednesday, Apr. 8. The Anchorwomen then
went on the road on Saturday, Apr. 9 and lost to Keene State, 14-7.
RIC quickly rebounded the next day, beating Castleton State 20-5.

Sophomore center Caitlin Gavin (Portsmouth,
RI)
has played in six games, starting all of them. She has a team-high 40
points and a team-best 31 goals to go along with nine assists. Gavin
has also compiled a team-high 55 shots, 47 on goal, 31 draw controls
and 28 ground balls. She has been named the Little East Conference
Player of the Week once this season. |

Senior attack Danielle Beaudry (West
Greenwich, RI)
has played in six games, starting all of them. She has 19 points on
nine goals and a team-high ten assists. Beaudry has compiled 21 shots,
18 on goal, 24 ground balls and six draw controls. |

Freshman attack Melissa Reggio (Commack,
NY)
has played in six games, starting all of them. She has 21 points on 13
goals and eight assists. Reggio has compiled 32 shots, 28 on goal, 16
ground balls and ten draw controls. |

Junior attack Crystal Colagiovanni (Johnston,
RI)
has played in six games, starting five of them. She has 13 points on
12 goals and one assist. Colagiovanni has compiled 30 shots, 23 on
goal, 18 ground balls and eight draw controls. |

Freshman attack Krista MacKinnon (Exeter,
RI)
has played in six games, starting all of them. She has four points on
three goals and one assist. MacKinnon has compiled eight shots, seven
on goal, and 13 ground balls. |

Freshman attack Kerry McDevitt (Jamestown,
RI)
has played in six games, starting five of them. She has five points on
two goals and three assists. McDevitt has compiled four shots, three
on goal, and ten ground balls. |

Freshman defender Leah Hayes (Coventry,

has played in six games, starting all of them. She has five points on
three goals and two assists. Hayes has compiled seven shots, five on
goal, 18 ground balls to go along with seven draw controls. |

Sophomore goalkeeper Micaela Morris (Barrington, RI) has played
and started in six games. She has a record of 4-2 and has compiled 60
saves, a save percentage of .526 and a goals against average of 8.85. |

Sophomore defender Megahn McKervey (Mansfield, MA) has played
in five games, starting four of them. McKervey has compiled three
ground balls and one draw control. |

|
Freshman attack Kerry Donahue (Rehoboth, MA) has played in five
games, starting one of them. She has one point on one goal. Donahue
has compiled five ground balls. |
|
|
|
In upcoming action, the Anchorwomen will play two games this week,
both on the road against LEC competition. RIC will travel to Southern
Maine on Thursday, Apr. 14 at 4 p.m. and then will go up against
Plymouth State on Saturday, Apr. 16 at 1 p.m. |
