Holly
Hummel Joins Rhode Island College Women’s Volleyball Staff
|

|
|
Providence,
RI—Rhode
Island College has named Holly Hummel as an assistant women’s
volleyball coach. Hummel will assist Head Coach Craig Letourneau
with all phases of the RIC women’s volleyball program including
recruiting, scouting, administering practices and match coaching. |
|
|
|
Hummel
says, “I look forward to joining the women’s volleyball program at
Rhode Island College and coaching with Craig Letourneau. I hope to
help build a strong team for the upcoming season and add to the
success of the program.” |
|
|
|
She was
previously an assistant coach with the Coventry High School women’s
volleyball team from 2000-05. |
|
|
|
Hummel is a
1999 graduate of Toll Gate High School in Warwick, Rhode Island where
she was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball. As an outside hitter,
she was named the Top Player in Rhode Island during her senior year.
Hummel was also named First Team All-State, All-City, All-Division and
to the Rhode Island All-Tournament Team that same campaign. |

She earned
a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health from the
University of Rhode Island in 2004. In addition to her coaching
duties, Hummel is a physical education/health teacher in Narragansett,
Rhode Island. |

|
|
She is
currently engaged and resides in Warwick, Rhode Island. |
