College Names
Women’s Indoor Track & Field Captains

Providence,
RI—Rhode
Island College has named senior Kate McCalligett (Warwick,
RI)
and junior Dana Skorupa (Cumberland,
RI)
as the
women’s indoor track and field captains for the 2004-05 season. |
|
|
|
McCalligett,
a nursing major and a 2001 graduate of Pilgrim High School,
placed 11th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.49 at the
Harvard Invitational this past Saturday. She placed 15th in the 200
meter dash with a time of 27.38 and eighth in the 400 meters with a
time of 1:01.91 at the Alden Invitational on Dec. 4. |

Skorupa, an
elementary education major and a 2002 graduate of Cumberland High
School,
placed 12th
in the 200 meters with a time of 26.96 at the Harvard Invitational
this past Saturday. She placed ninth in the 55 meter dash with a time
of 7.64 and 13th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.25
at the Alden Invitational on Dec. 4. |

Head Coach
Kevin Jackson’s team opened the season at the Alden
Invitational, hosted by Brown on Dec. 4 and then competed at the
Harvard Invitational on Dec. 11. Both meets were individual meets and
did not record team scores. |
