Notables |
|
•
RIC opened
the season with a 7-2 loss at Salve Regina University on Sept. 3. The
loss stopped a 17-match winning streak for the Anchorwomen dating back
to the 2003 season. RIC rebounded to win its next two matches, both of
which were home, with a 9-0 victory over Mitchell on Sept. 8 and an
8-1 win over Little East Conference opponent Salem State on Sept. 10. |
|
• The
Anchorwomen like playing on their home court and the numbers back it
up. RIC has won its last 14 home matches. The team is 2-0 this fall,
was 8-0 last season and won their final four home matches of the 2003
campaign. The last time a RIC squad lost a home dual match was a 5-4
loss to Johnson & Wales on Sept. 16, 2003. |
