Men’s Cross Country Update #1

Coach Kevin Jackson’s team has two invitationals under their
belt this season. |
|
|
|
• RIC opened the 2005 season at the Community College of Rhode Island
Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 8. The Anchormen placed third (five
teams) with a team score of 67. Junior Eric Lonergan (North
Kingstown, RI) placed third with a time of 17:16, senior Manny
Karngar (Providence, RI) placed seventh with a time of 17:40,
senior Tim Goodwin (Warwick, RI) placed 14th with a
time of 17:59, sophomore Greg Ahnrud (Chepachet, RI) placed 19th
with a time of 18:43, sophomore Greg Clark (Pawtucket, RI)
placed 24th with a time of 20:08. |

• RIC competed at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept.
17. The Anchormen did not compete as a team. Lonergan placed 62nd
with a time of 26:42, Karngar was 112th with a time of
27:47, Ahnrud was 167th with a time of 28:59 and Clark was
217th with a time of 31:12. |
