Men’s Cross Country Update #2

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Kevin Jackson’s team has three invitationals under their
belt this season. |
|
|
|
• RIC competed at the Ray Dwyer Invitational at Goddard Park in
Warwick, RI on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Anchormen scored 73 points,
which was good for a fourth place finish out of seven teams. RIC was
led by junior Eric Lonergan (North
Kingstown, RI)
who placed second overall with a time of 27:37. Senior Manny
Karngar (Providence,
RI)
was seventh with a time of 28:43, while senior Tim Goodwin (Warwick,
RI)
placed 37th with a time of 30:20. Sophomores Greg Ahnrud
(Chepachet, RI) placed 40th with a time of 30:34 and
Greg Clark (Pawtucket,
RI)
was 55th with a time of 32:07 to round out the RIC runners. |

• For his performance at the Ray Dwyer Invitational, Lonergan was
named the Little East Conference’s Runner of the Week. |
