Karsmarski’s Three Helps
Eastern Connecticut Down Anchorwomen |

Providence, RI—Eastern
Connecticut won for the sixth time in its last seven games with a
66-62 victory at Rhode Island College in a battle of Little East
Conference rivals. The Warriors led for almost the entire game until
the Anchorwomen battled to tie the contest, 60-60, with 1:30 remaining
in the second half. Senior guard Lindsey Karsmarski (Meriden,
CT) drained a
three-point basket with 1:17
left to put ECSU up for good. |

Karsmarski led
the Warriors in scoring with 12 points. Junior forward Sandy Mosley
(Goshen,
CT) and freshman
guard Nicky Morey (Columbia,
CT) each had ten
points to round out ECSU’s leaders. Morey had a solid all-around
effort with eight rebounds and seven assists as well. Sophomores
Bridget Durette (Seymour,
CT) and
Stephanie Smith (Penacook,
NH)
pulled down eight boards apiece. |

RIC sophomore
forward Colleen Feeney (Providence,
RI) posted her
fourth double-double of the season with a 19-point, ten-rebound
effort. Junior forward Kari Geisler (Deerfield,
NH)
had 14 points and ten rebounds. |

action, RIC will play at Southern Maine on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 5:30
p.m. Eastern Connecticut will play at UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Jan.
