2005 Rhode Island College Women’s
Cross Country

Season Summary

Providence, RI--Head
Coach Kevin Jackson’s team
closed out the 2005 season at the NCAA New England Regional Div. III
Championships, hosted by Springfield
College,
on Saturday, Nov. 12 and did not score as a team. The Anchorwomen
competed at the ECAC Div. III Championships, hosted by
Connecticut
College,
on Saturday, Nov. 5 and at the Little East/MASCAC Alliance
Championships, hosted by
Westfield State
on Oct. 29, also not scoring as a team.

Freshman Hannah Clark
(Attleboro, MA) was RIC’s top runner
at every meet this fall and was named the team’s MVP. She was the
Anchorwomen’s lone runner, placing 221st with a time of
28:03 at the New England Div. III Championships on Nov. 12. She again
was the lone RIC runner and was 186th with a time of 29:14
at the ECAC Championships on Nov. 6. She placed 41st with a
time of 22:38.03 at the Alliance Championships on Oct. 29.
Clark
placed third with a time of 22:06
at a tri-meet with Mitchell at
Eastern Connecticut on Oct. 15. She
placed 59th with a time of 24:28 at the Roger Williams
Invitational on Oct. 8. She was 36th with a time of 23:11
at the Tri-State Invitational on Oct. 1. She placed 44th
with a time of 23:18 at the
Ray Dwyer Invitational Sept. 24. Clark placed 217th at the
UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 17. She was 18th with
a time of 15:57 (shortened course) at the Ocean State
Invitational on Sept. 8.

Freshman Emily Fox
(Attleboro, MA) placed 78th
with a time of 27:06.62 at the Alliance Championships on Oct. 29. Fox
placed seventh with a time of 26:52 at a tri-meet with Mitchell at
Eastern Connecticut on Oct. 15. She was 84th with a time of
26:36 at the Roger Williams Invitational on Oct. 8. Fox placed 224th
at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 17. She placed 19th
with a time of 16:06 (shortened
course) at the Ocean State Invitational on Sept. 8.

Freshman Nicole Parenteau
(Smithfield, RI) placed 63rd
with a time of 25:37 at the Tri-State Invitational on Oct. 1. She was
55th with a time of 25:27 at the Ray Dwyer Invitational
Sept. 24. She placed 249th at the UMass Dartmouth
Invitational on Sept. 17. She was 22nd with a time of
17:38 (shortened course)
at the Ocean State Invitational on Sept. 8.
