Hannah Clark to Captain
Rhode Island College Women’s Cross Country

 

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College has named sophomore Hannah Clark (Attleboro, MA) as the women’s cross country team’s captain.

 

As a freshman in 2005, Clark was RIC’s top runner at every meet and was named the team’s MVP. She was the Anchorwomen’s lone runner, placing 221st with a time of 28:03 at the New England Div. III Championships on Nov. 12. She again was the lone RIC runner and was 186th with a time of 29:14 at the ECAC Championships on Nov. 6. She placed 41st with a time of 22:38.03 at the Alliance Championships on Oct. 29. Clark placed third with a time of 22:06 at a tri-meet with Mitchell at Eastern Connecticut on Oct. 15. She placed 59th with a time of 24:28 at the Roger Williams Invitational on Oct. 8. She was 36th with a time of 23:11 at the Tri-State Invitational on Oct. 1. She placed 44th with a time of 23:18 at the Ray Dwyer Invitational Sept. 24. Clark placed 217th at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 17. She was 18th with a time of 15:57 (shortened course) at the Ocean State Invitational on Sept. 8.

 

Head Coach Kevin Jackson’s team opens the 2006 season at the Ocean State Invitational, hosted by the Community College of Rhode Island on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m.
