Meg Funk Named
Little East Women’s Tennis
Player of the Week
|

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College sophomore Meg Funk (Oakdale, CT) was named the
Little East Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the
second consecutive week. |
|
|
|
Funk went 3-0 at
both number one singles and number one doubles in a 3-0 week for the
Anchorwomen. Rhode Island College earned victories over Johnson &
Wales (8-1) on Sept. 26, Endicott (6-3) on Sept. 28 and Little East
Conference rival Bridgewater State (6-3) on Sept. 30. She is 7-2 at
number one singles and 8-3 at number one doubles for 11.0 points on
the season. |

Coach Kelly Chartier’s team is 8-1 overall and 4-0 in
the Little East Conference. |

|
In
upcoming action, RIC will host UMass Boston on Oct. 3, Clark on Oct. 5
and travel to Plymouth State on Oct. 7. |
