ROSA
BREAKS ALL-TIME RIC ASSIST RECORD
Anchorwomen Win, 3-2, Over LEC Rival UMass Dartmouth
|
|
North
Dartmouth, MA—Rhode
Island College junior setter Jeanne Rosa (Milford, CT) broke
Kim Lebrun’s ’01 all-time school record for career assists in the
Anchorwomen’s, 3-2, victory over UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday evening.
Rosa needed just 15 helpers to break the mark, but totaled 25 assists
in the five-game match. She now has 1,602 career assists through
two-plus seasons of action. |
|
|
|
Rosa’s
achievement was a high point as Head Coach Craig Letourneau’s
Anchorwomen struggled to get by the Corsairs, who remain winless in
Little East action. RIC dropped game one, 30-26, before taking games
two and three, 30-23 and 33-31, respectively. The Anchorwomen could
not put away UMass Dartmouth in game four, falling, 30-23, before
dominating the fifth and deciding game, 15-6, to earn the win. |
