Jose Talavera Named Little East
Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

Providence, RI—Rhode
Island College freshman forward Jose Talavera (Providence, RI)
was named the Little East Conference Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. |
|
|
|
Talavera scored
both of the Anchormen’s goals in a 2-1 victory over Little East rival
Western Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 7. He has played in ten games,
starting three of them with three goals for six points. |
|
|
|
Head
Coach John Mello’s team is 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the Little
East Conference. Rhode Island College has won its last two games.
|

|
|
In
upcoming action, RIC will play at Bridgewater State on Wednesday, Oct.
11 and at Little East rival Keene State on Saturday, Oct. 14. |
