Sharon Corriveau Named Little East Conference Rookie of the Week

Providence, RI—Rhode Island College freshman outside hitter Sharon Corriveau (Coventry, RI) was named the Little East Conference Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Corriveau totaled 48 kills and 72 digs in a 3-2 week for the Anchorwomen. She posted 11 kills and 17 digs in RIC’s, 3-1, win over Roger Williams on Oct. 14. Corriveau registered 19 kills in the club’s, 3-2, loss to Salve Regina on Oct. 14. She recorded 16 kills and 17 digs in RIC’s, 3-2, win at Lasell on Oct. 10.

Head Coach Craig Letourneau’s team is 15-10 overall and 2-1 in the Little East Conference.

In upcoming action, RIC will host Suffolk University on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. It will be Senior Night as Rhode Island College will honor senior middle hitter Erin Miga (Cranston, RI), along with senior defensive specialist Kara Sarcione (Londonderry, NH), senior right side hitter Julie Seitsinger (North Kingstown, RI) and senior libero Stephanie Wojciechowski (North Kingstown, RI), prior to the match.
