The Rhode Island College men’s outdoor track and field team competed
at the Bryant Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 7. It was an individual
meet with no team scoring. |

Senior Rich
Palazzo (Johnston,
RI)
placed first in the hammer with a 48.23-meter effort. |
|
|

Junior James
Polak (Smithfield,
RI)
placed third in both the discus and hammer with distances of 35.75 and
39.46 meters, respectively. |

Junior Mike
Van Gieson (Foster, RI) placed second in the 800 meters with a
time of 1:59.43. |

Senior Dan
Newman (Smithfield,
RI)
placed fourth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.54 and fourth
in the high jump with a 1.88-meter effort. |

placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:02.20 |
