Providence, RI—Junior first baseman

The
Anchorwomen (34-4) advance to play the winner of second-seeded Keene
State vs. third-seeded Western Connecticut (noon) today at 4 p.m.
The Warriors (21-16) bow out of the double elimination tourney with
their second loss. |

|
Eastern Connecticut scored in the first inning as junior right
fielder Katie Livingston (West Hartford, CT) led off with a
triple to right center field and scored on senior third baseman
Karen Taber’s (Deep River, CT) one-out, RBI fielder’s choice. |

The
Anchorwomen notched the equalizer in the bottom of the frame as
Lotti singled and eventually scored on freshman designated player

field. |

The
Warriors took their second lead of the game in the third as

Rhode Island College came from behind once again in the bottom of
the fourth as McCartin was hit by a pitch and freshman center

McCartin to advance to third. Junior shortstop Jeanne Rosa
(Milford, CT) laid down a bunt back to Eastern Connecticut
sophomore pitcher Lisa Cody (Webster, MA), which allowed
McCartin to score. |
