NCAA Selects Providence as
Softball Tournament Super Regional Site

Providence, RI—The NCAA has
selected Providence, Rhode Island, with Rhode Island College as the
host, for this weekend’s NCAA Div. III Softball Tournament Super
Regional, which begins on Thursday, May 10 and goes through Monday,
May 14. |
|
|
|
The
Anchorwomen are the top seed in the eight-team field coming off
their third consecutive Little East Conference Regular Season
Championship and second straight Little East Conference Tournament
title. Head Coach Maria Morin’s team has won a school-record
37 games (37-5) and are making their second NCAA Tournament
appearance. |

|
|
The rest of
the field includes: 2. Tufts, 3. Wellesley, 4. Keene State, 5.
Endicott, 6. Misericordia, 7. Emerson, 8. Framingham State. |
|
|
|
The
regional will begin with four games on Thursday, May 10 (10 a.m.,
noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.) and will follow the same schedule on
Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12. There will be two games on
Sunday, May 13 (noon, 2 p.m.) and, if necessary, one game on Monday,
May 14 (10 a.m.). |

Ticket Prices
are as follows: $5 for adults and $2 for students/senior citizens
per day. |

|
|
Rhode
Island College will host eight-seeded Framingham State on Thursday,
May 10 at 10 a.m. |
